Go, go, a GNO!

I recieved a phone call yesterday asking me if I would like to participate in an up coming event at a local Ellijay hot spot (I don't want to tell you guys to many detail's just yet!) this Sept. The theme for the event is "Girl's Night Out".

Here's the deal pickle. Get it? Deal pickle? Ok, I'll stop! I am wanting to have 5 different tasty treats to have as samples. I already have 2 thing's in mind. This is where your help comes in. I need 3 more theme related treats. I know you guys are creative enough to help me out! My brain is on overload due to my upcoming order's. Thank you to those guys :]

Finkle's Dozen

Notice the 3rd cake is the middle picture. The 50 cupcakes were 25 chocolate w/ vanilla buttercream & 25 red velvet w/ cream cheese frosting!

I was told by the birthday girl, that she didn't want to cut her cake she loved it so much! This family truely made my day w/ this order!

2 tiered vanilla cake, chocolate buttercream, covered in both vanilla & chocolate MMF. All decor made of MMF.

8" Vanilla cake, vanilla frosting, covered in vanilla MMF. Decor made with MMF & edible shimmer.

Taste of Ellijay

This coming Thursday is the Taste of Ellijay & Finkle's Bake Shop will be there! I am so excited about this event! The theme for this year is "Mountain Time Summer", & I have lots of yummy treats planned. Everybody come out & support your local businesses, & eat some awesome food, too!

3 cakes

I have am guilty of being a bad blogger. There, I said it. I just realized that I have not made post since March! Well, Finkle's has been very busy! Here are 3 cakes & one batch of girly cupcakes.

"It's 5'0clock somewhere" Cake. White cake soaked in Tequila, Tripple Sec, & Margarita mix. Lime green MMF Fondant. I am totally afraid of frogs, but this one is edible & wearing a cute bikini, so, ya know! :]

 I had to fight hurricane winds & sideways rain on this delivery! Fire fighter groom's cake. Helment & Hose made from fondant. Strawberry cake ( w/ pieces of strawberries ), Strawberry cream cheese frosting, covered in black MMF. Double dipped white/milk chocolate strawberries.

* The couples son ate almost the whole thing, lol*

Chocolate fudge cake, vanilla buttercream, covered in green/brown/white MMF. Decoration's also MMF.

A little bit of blog, a little bit of cake...

I officially am the proud mommy to a pre-schooler! I know *gasp* Bryson was signed up this weekend for pre-k! After finishing up a 3 tiered cake way after midnight, I rolled out of bed to be in line @5:05AM! I know, total insanity! But, mission accomplished, so it was totally worth it. I was rewarded for all of my hard by a lovely shopping trip, I was not complaining :]

Back to the cake. Here is the beautiful birthday girl Hannah & her cake. 3 tiered chocolate cake w/ chocolate buttercream frosting, covered with a lime green marshmallow fondant. Decorations done in fondant & gum paste. She said it was "perfect". My day was made! :]
